Summer Camps in Dartmouth!

As the working mom of a busy young family, choosing summer camps and figuring out child care is at once exciting and stressful. There are many considerations: children’s interests and ability, location, cost, age, and the list goes on.

Luckily, for folks who live in Dartmouth, there are many wonderful options for camps. To help with the decision making, my office has compiled a list of groups who offer camps over the summer months. 

  • The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Halifax day camps are offered in both the East Dartmouth (902-435-3204) and North Dartmouth (902-463-1210) locations. More information: www.bgcgh.ca

  • The MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning in Downtown Dartmouth run weekly and full-day, week-long camps throughout the summer for youth aged 12-19.   • Senobe Aquatic Club offers paddling, swimming lessons, and supervised recreational activities. Check www.senobe.com for information on summer programs and day camps.

  • Atlantic Cirque offers summer camps for youth 7-17 years of age where they will learn trapeze, trampoline, acrobatics, juggling, human pyramids, stilt walking, flying rope, handstands, spinning plates techniques and more!
